PERFORMANCE
Aerodynamics
Every aspect of the 8 C Competizione has been designed to ensure the best possible aerodynamics. The slope of the hood streamlined and the rear diffuser were all calibrated to ensure excellent aerodynamic flow using modern calculations and thousands of hours of wind-tunnel experimentation and testing, akin to the work done on competition cars.
Gearbox and trasmission
Like Formula 1 cars from the Fifties, the 8C Competizione has a transaxle setup, offering the best possible weight distribuition. The engine is located directly behind the front wheels, while the gearbox and differential are housed inside the rear axle in order to guarantee balance and improve the vehicle’s stability and responsivness. The 6-speed electro-hydraulic Q-Select sequential gearbox has a computer-controlled gear selector using the levers behind the steering wheel.
Engine
The heart of the car is a mechanical gem with an unmistakable noise, designed to ensure extraordinary performance and versatility in any driving condition. The new 4.7 L V8 engine is capable of developing 450 hp at 7000 rpm, with a peak torque of 480 Nm at 4750 rpm and a maximum engine speed of 7500 rpm.
Chassis and suspension
The steel chassis ensures high torsional stiffness, which is needed to get the best out of the suspension system. The wishbone suspension setup offers sportiness, precision and maximum contact between the tires and the ground. Stability control provided by the VDC system ensures a sporty yet safe drive, without doing anything to impair driving pleasure. The result is maximum control, excellent handling and outstanding performance.

STYLE
EXTERIOR
Tires The innovative “P Zero Corsa” racing tires are mounted on aluminum fluid-formed perforated rims and feature a tread pattern created for extreme use.
Brakes
The car features aluminum 6-piston fixed-caliper brakes at the front, with 4-piston brakes at the rear. The perforated, ventilated discs are big enough to ensure effective braking even in the most extreme situations.
Body
The lightness of carbon fiber and the compact dimensions of the body help to create a car that offers pure pleasure both to look at and to drive.
Design
The 8C was developed by the Alfa Romeo Style Centre, with an elegant, original line styled around the wheels, with a powerful, muscular side, and a profile that appears to be shaped by the wind.
INTERIORS
Carbon fiber and leather
In order to maintain the tradition of sport and luxury, Alfa Romeo has used some of the most advanced and exclusive materials such as Carbon Fiber and quality leather to make the 8C Competizione. The result is an interior that is peerless in looks, practicality, and sheer driving of pleasure.
Upholstery
The cabin is designed around the driver, featuring hand-stitched leather with intricate braiding, offered in colors such as: red, gray, tan and black.
Dash
High-tech carbon fiber and aluminum combines with the traditional elegance of leather and natural fibers to create an exclusive, unique interior.
Sport seats
Designed to provide the maximum lateral support while driving. The use of a carbon fiber shell helps to keep the car’s weight down, offering better performance.

COLORS
The body colors are specifically designed to highlight the harmony and purity of the car’s lines. Alfa Romeo has developed an innovative painting technique involving the application of a first coat of base pigments, followed by a second coat of colored mica particles designed to bring out the luminosity of the color. An additional coat is then applied to give a fuller, more translucent look. Competizione Red is then completed with the application of a transparent varnish to emphasize the colors depth.
MATERIALS
Multi-layer mica based color
The carbon fiber body is beautiful and sensual to both the eyes and to the touch. The body colors are designed using a new layer painting technique
Full-grain braided leather interior
A sporty, natural braid in which the leather is intertwined with a natural fiber fabric creates a striking appearance of depth.
Carbon fiber dash
On the 8C Competizione the use of carbon fiber is not merely skin deep. All the interior details, including the less visible ones, are made of carbon fiber.
