The Ferrari F8 Tributo is the latest mid-engine V8 that sets an unprecedented benchmark for its segment thanks to a perfect combination of outright performance and innovative design. With an unparalleled level of driving pleasure, the 3.9L twin turbo V8 is capable of unleashing a massive 720 CV and sprinting from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.9 seconds.
Tributo in Italian mean tribute in which the F8 pays homage to the last 45 years of Ferrari’s mid-engine V8’s. Ferrari has been honing the scope of abilities of this architecture, which creates an optimal weight balance, to perfection for over four decades. The result is the F8 Tributo, which is one of the fastest, most thrilling and communicative supercars ever.
The Ferrari F8 Tributo is lighter than the Ferrari 488 GTB with weighing around 90 lbs less and has a higher power output (+50 cv) resulting in both in a significant increase in performance as well as a corresponding drop in emissions. Vehicle dynamics benefit from the introduction of Ferrari Dynamic Enhancer Control System, the 3rd generation electronic differential (E-Diff3) and the latest evolution of the electronic suspension control system (SCM-E) integrated with the side slip angle control 6.1 (SSC).
Offering the highest levels of performance in Ferrari’s current mid-engine V8 range, it combines the pinnacle of what the F8 is about: design, performance and technology.

A Closer Look Into the F8 Tributo
The cockpit retains the classic, driver-oriented look typical of Ferrari’s mid-rear-engine berlinettas. Every element of the dash, door panels and tunnel has been completely redesigned specifically for the car. The F8 Tributo also boasts a new generation steering wheel and steering wheel-mounted controls as well as new styling on the standard seats. A new infotainment section also incorporates the optional 7” touchscreen passenger-side display which provides an extra sporting touch. The dash is completed by the classic instrument cluster with its central rev-counter and the new-generation steering wheel and commands. New round air vents are set in beautifully sculpted aluminum surrounds (also available in optional carbon-fiber) which cleverly underscore the dash structure. To emphasize the lightness of the whole assembly, the dash now incorporates an aluminum sail panel supporting the central satellite and continuing into the dash itself. Also, to create a sense of visual lightness, a sliver of carbon fiber divides the upper and lower parts, streamlining the whole look. The F8 Tributo will be available with a standard comfort seat or an optional carbon fiber racing seat, each having different optional design patterns.
Designed by the team at Ferrari’s in-house Centro Stile, the new Ferrari F8 Tributo is aggressively styled with Maranello’s marque signature styling elements. Close collaboration between the Aerodynamics department and Ferrari Design has brought new design elements and distinctive lines on the body.
Beginning with the front, a new S-duct has been integrated into the hood which has been designed to highlight the extensive aerodynamic modifications. With a new compact design LED headlight, it allows for an intake to take shape just above it. The rear is shown with a classic twin light cluster that reminiscent the early 8-cylinder Berlinetta’s such as the very first in the legendary series, the 308 GTB. The new rear engine screen, which is made from Lexan, has been redesigned with inspiration deriving from the most famous V8 engine car, the F40.
The V8 power unit (awarded as International Engine of the Year for four consecutive years in 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019) delivers now a power output of 720cv at 8000 rpm, introducing new mechanical components that consist of turbo rev sensors, developed in the 488 challenge, to maximize the efficiency of the turbo chargers based on the demand for power from the pedal. The F8’s exciting performance is done with Ferrari’s continuation of zero turbo lag. Creating a new exhaust layout, with the aim of delivering a unique and dedicated sound, results in an engine with an unmistakable note.
In order for the F8 Tributo to achieve the impressive performance, Ferrari’s engineers worked on integrating engine and aerodynamic performance with the latest iteration of the vehicle dynamic control systems. The Side Slip Control system, which improves the drivers’ control on the limit for an even more engaging involvement, has been further evolved. The transition from version 6.0 to 6.1 reflects the fact that the Ferrari Dynamic Enhancer system now also activates in the manettino RACE (FDE+) position. While in the RACE position, you have an increase of 6% speed when exiting corners giving the driver more accessible performance. When the manettino is in CT off mode, the F8 has 30 percent less steering activity compared to its predecessor, making it more manageable in oversteering scenarios.
