Ferrari Roma

While the design’s first impression is modern, one can note the classic styling incorporated into the vehicle. The Ferrari Roma’s design indeed derives from the sporty elegance concept celebrated in the most legendary grand touring Ferraris of the 1960s. To underscore that formal minimalist, all superfluous detailing has been removed. The rear of the Roma shows a strong and sculpted body, with the edge trailing the rear fenders, bleeding into the headlights. On the flip side, the front pays close attention to the rule of thirds with its design. A long hood and thin headlights evoke a sleek and subtle look. Other notable design features are the wing mirror stalks which start at the bottom of the A pillar, and the flush door handles. The biggest redesign element is a new key fob, which emblazons the Ferrari Cavallino Badge in an incredibly simplistic design.

Under the hood of the Ferrari Roma, lies a 3.9-liter twin-turbocharged V8 Engine, which has won International Engine of the Year the last 4-years running. While the base remains the same, it has been tuned to produce an enhanced 612 horsepower from 5,750 to 7,000 rpm, with about 560 lb-ft of torque from 3,00 to 5,750 rpm. It directs power to the rear wheels through a brand new eight-speed dual-clutch transmission, clocking in a 0-62 mph in 3.4 seconds. With an overall speed of 199 mph, it handles well on it’s new 20 inch wheels.
