What's new for the Ferrari Amalfi and Amalfi Spider?

Sharper Dynamics, Elevated Power, and Driver-Focused Tech – Sharper Dynamics, Elevated Power, and Open-Top Innovation – The 2027 Ferrari Amalfi and Amalfi Spider introduce a recalibrated Electric Power Steering system that improves grip estimation speed by 10% when paired with the 20" wheels, delivering sharper handling and more precise road feedback. The Spider adds the emotional appeal of open-air driving with a fabric soft-top, engineered to maintain the coupe’s proportions while enhancing the connection between driver, car, and surroundings. Power increases by 19 horsepower compared to the outgoing Roma, offering greater performance without sacrificing the grand touring refinement that defines the Amalfi platform. The Spider’s design and aerodynamic development ensure the convertible maintains efficiency and stability comparable to the coupe while delivering comfort even with the roof lowered. Inside the cabin, Ferrari reintroduces tactile physical controls, including the iconic red Start button, reinforcing driver engagement. A new horizontal central display modernizes the cockpit and serves as a shared interface within the dual-cockpit architecture, while the Spider’s open-top configuration further enhances the immersive driving experience.

Ferrari Amalfi Spider Exterior

Designed by the Ferrari Design Studio under Flavio Manzoni, the Ferrari Amalfi Spider features a 2+ spider architecture with a fabric soft top engineered to preserve the elegant proportions and clean design language of the Amalfi. Sculpted volumes and minimalist surfaces create a fluid silhouette that remains instantly recognizable whether the roof is open or closed. The soft top is offered in four fabric colours and two technical fabric options, including Tecnico Ottanio, whose woven texture produces a subtle shimmering effect in changing light. When lowered, the fabric can extend across the tonneau and rear surfaces, creating a continuous visual flow that emphasizes the Spider’s open-air character. Ferrari also introduces Rosso Tramonto, a new exterior colour inspired by the sunset hues of the Amalfi Coast. With deep red tones and subtle orange highlights, the shade enhances the sculpted bodywork while adding a refined new expression to Ferrari’s iconic red palette.

Ferrari Amalfi Spider Interior

Interior design of the Ferrari Amalfi Spider emphasizes an elegant, driver-focused environment tailored for open-top driving. A dual-cockpit architecture creates a cocooning effect, visually separating driver and passenger while maintaining a connected cabin layout that flows from the dashboard into the door panels and central tunnel. The central display acts as a shared interface, reinforcing the model’s balance between sporting focus and grand touring versatility within its 2+ seating layout. A clean, minimalist design highlights materials and geometry throughout the cockpit. The instrument cluster and air vents are integrated into a single monolithic structure, evenly divided between driver and passenger. A suspended central tunnel machined from solid aluminium houses the primary controls, while sculptural sail-inspired door panels integrate the handles and armrests. Personalization and design continuity extend to the materials used throughout the cabin. Selected interior elements including the tonneau cover, door panels, and seatbacks can be trimmed in the same fabric as the soft top, creating a visual link between the exterior and interior when the roof is lowered.

Ferrari Amalfi Spider Aerodynamics

Aerodynamic development of the Ferrari Amalfi Spider focused on maintaining the efficiency and downforce of the Amalfi coupe while adapting the design for a fabric-roof convertible. Careful refinement of body geometry and airflow management preserves aerodynamic performance while ensuring comfort during open-air driving. At the front, a bypass channel above the headlights reduces pressure and supports thermal management, while vortex generators and underbody diffusers increase vertical load. Aerodynamic fairings ahead of the front and rear wheels guide airflow around exposed wheel surfaces to reduce drag. At the rear, an active mobile wing integrated into the tail operates in Low Drag (LD), Medium Downforce (MD), and High Downforce (HD) modes. In HD, the wing generates up to 110 kg of additional load at 250 km/h with less than a 4% drag increase, supported by a 20-mm integrated nolder and optimized rear diffuser. A rear-seat wind deflector, deployable at speeds up to 105 MPH, stabilizes airflow in the cockpit to reduce turbulence and wind noise during open-top driving.
